Since the actual "circus space' is in the ring, maybe something along these lines. Maybe add some activity in the rings? Just an idea. - Randy

I think you have a good start on your logo. I remember years ago that I took a class on logo design and at that time, it was widely thought that the logo for the company International Harvester was the best. Do you remember it? It was very simple. It was a red i and a black H. Nothing fancy and over produced. It is proof that the small ideas are often the best.

Let's start a contest to see who can tell the CircuSpace members and readers why the International Harvester logo succeeds on more than one level? Is that too much of a hint?

Oh, I'm Circus Girl gone farm girl I like this one:) The IH logo incorporates depth so that they eye is naturally drawn to the i initially, followed by the H. One should also keep in mind that 1/3 of the world's men are red/blue colorblind, so for example the iH logo in red and blue, and similar printing densities would not have had the same effect as the red/black combo.
Last I read the most recognized logo in the world was the Nike Swoosh, among the top five were the Golden Arches, and Coca-Cola's logo...Simplicity is key. Think Target, red letters, bullseye. My son was watching Herbie Fully Loaded today and saw a bullseye car and said "oh there's the Target car." eBay, Paypal, Amazon, UPS....I could go on I'm tired and medicated and a marketing guru:)

Frankly, I don't like the suggestion.....it in no way indicates what the logo is for or about. Simple is a good thing however when you consider what we do or have done, and what it means to be performers both up and coming (the children) the current stars, the aging (our parents) and the has beens,(the forgotten) our world being so complicated with the bookings and travel and often survival, the 2 letters is simply not enough. I don't get it I guess.
I don't know you but after reading your 'bio' , I know you could offer better.
This site allows for us to visit and stay caught up with one another although we are apart, traveling throughout the world, with a chance meeting.
This site allows us to stay in touch and informed!
I'm not an artist but this logo would not be such a great idea as representation of the site.

Yes Katie. You made several good points about the color blind and the densities. But you did not quite solve the puzzle of why the logo works so well. You have not yet revealed the secret. Maybe if you sleep on it you will wake up and figure it out. Are you one of the people who knows about the arrow in the FedEx logo? It will take the same subtle approach to figure out the International Harvester secret.

Here is another logo that i like for similar reasons. There are many things going on in this logo. Some are obvious and others are not.

Keep tryin'

i like the way the c and the dot in the i are incorporated into the elephants face.
but not the oversized i. and i think something should be done with coloring in the trunk so not to look like "circu pace".

It's verry nice short and sweet and says it all

Several great ideas in this one, but a little too forced. I like the elephant and I like the tent. I miss the elephant's ears and the skin is a little too reptilian. But as I said many good ideas.

I had a similar idea with a baby elephant sitting at a computer with a CircuSpace typeface on the screen . . . but I haven't gotten around to doodling with it. I give up the idea to anyone who wants to bring it to fruition.

You all have a template now to work with! I believe this will be what the final logo will look like as far as the components, but please feel free to make your own versions of it and lets see what great colors, ideas, and styles can come of it.

I thank each one of you ,for all your time and efforts in this. This Logo will eventually become recognized for everything that CircuSpace and all circus people around the world stand for.
