Tell us about yourself and your background!: I started in the business in 1968 when I was 10 years old. I did various acts with my family including clowning, juggling, unicycle riding, slack wire, plate spinning, and fire-eating. When I turned 16 I started playing trumpet in the band on Hoxie Brothers Circus and continued as a trumpet player, band leader, arranger, and music director for many different shows. I ended my career in 1997 after 16 years as the musical director at Circus World Museum in Baraboo, WI so that I could pursue a teaching career.

How did you hear about CircuSpace?: I just happened upon the link and am hoping to find old friends that I've missed all these years. I also plan to contribute my collection of photos from the "golden days" of circus.

Boy I was really in pain,I got a hip replacement about four years ago,I'm like a new person,I found out it was a birth defect,never knew that,but now still have to walk with a cane rest of my life,I'm on disability for that.Only if my parents knew that when I was growing up it would of help me in later in life,Mike
